The Detroit Police Department is appealing to the public for assistance in locating 28-year-old Muhammad Abdus-Sabur, who went missing earlier this week. According to a report from ClickOnDetroit, Abdus-Sabur was last seen on Tuesday, leaving his residence on the 1200 block of E. Grand Blvd., and has not returned since.
He is described as a man standing 5′11″ tall, weighing approximately 215 pounds, with brown hair and long black eyes. On his disappearance, Abdus-Sabur was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, orange jogging pants, black gym shoes, and a black book bag. Concerns for his safety are particularly acute because, according to his brother, he has bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
The Detroit Police Department's Missing Persons unit has also reached out through social media, urging anyone with information to step forward. Their post reiterates the call for community support in the search for Abdus-Sabur, stating: "Please help us find missing Muhammad Abdus-Sabur. If you have any information, please call Detroit's 7th Precinct at (313) 596-5740 or 911," as found on their Facebook page.
