Seattle is reeling from another episode of gun violence that disrupted the downtown district last night, leaving two people wounded. According to an official report by the Seattle Police Department, officers raced to the scene on the 100 block of South Washington Street after shots were reported fired at approximately 11:10 p.m.

At the scene, amidst the chaos, an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg was located by the police. While treated on the scene by the Seattle Fire Department and later transported in stable condition to Harborview Medical Center, an investigation into the shooting has begun on a parking lot adjacent to a nightclub where the incident occurred.

Investigation of the scene revealed that the violence appeared to be the outcome of a physical clash between two collectives, which rapidly devolved into gunfire. Police reports indicate the finding of multiple shell casings of different calibers. A stolen handgun tied to the event was also found at the scene.

Another victim, an adult female with three gunshot wounds to her extremities, arrived later at Harborview Medical Hospital. Police tracked an involved vehicle to a Renton residence, impounded to their Vehicle Processing Room, in the hope it would lead closer to the culprits. Despite these efforts, as of now, no suspects have been arrested or located.

The Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives have been prompted into action and are now taking charge of the investigation.
