
Montgomery County Police responded quickly to a robbery at a 7-Eleven in Silver Spring on the night of Saturday last week. The suspect, 33-year-old Stephen Donatus Sheehy-Poore, was arrested after an investigation supported by the department's Real-Time Intelligence Center (RTIC).
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police release, officers were called to the 8100 block of Fenton Street at approximately 11:39 p.m. after the suspect allegedly assaulted an employee, went behind the counter, and stole property. The suspect's description was shared with RTIC personnel and officers in the area, leading to his location in a nearby building.
The Major Crimes Division detectives confirmed Sheehy-Poore's identity, and he was charged with robbery, theft, and second-degree assault. He was arrested on Monday and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit for a bond review hearing on Wednesday.
