
El Paso authorities are currently seeking witnesses following a tragic hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a 52-year-old man. The collision occurred near El Paso Community College on the evening of March 21, as reported by KFOX-TV. Jesus Fernando Perez was crossing the 7300 block of North Loop when he was fatally struck by a vehicle.
Crime Stoppers of El Paso and local police are working jointly to urgently call upon the public to assist in locating the driver involved in this fatal event. According to KTSM, Perez was crossing with his wife from the north curb to the south when the incident took place. His wife, who was accompanying him, was fortunately unharmed in the process.
The unidentified driver fled the scene traveling eastbound on North Loop. Crime Stoppers relayed to KTSM that the vehicle suspected of involvement is a dark-colored, small four-door car with expected damage to the right front side. After the collision, Perez was rapidly taken to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
