Residents of 'Ele'ele should prepare for infrastructure work taking place in their neighborhood from tomorrow through Friday. According to the Department of Public Works, its Wastewater Management Division has scheduled a series of repairs to be carried out by contractor Insituform Technologies LLC. There will be no work on Wednesday in observance of the Prince Kūhiō holiday.
While the work is concentrated within various easement locations across the subdivision, residents can breathe a degree of relief; no lanes will be closed during this endeavor. Still, expect the presence of work trucks, a staple in any urban renewal portrait—they'll be perched outside homes and lining roads, reminders of the ongoing maintenance below our feet. Motorists are advised to navigate the area with caution, and perhaps rethink their scheduling to accommodate potential delays.
For any questions regarding this operation, contact Donald Fujimoto from the Wastewater Management Division at 808-241-4882 or via email at [email protected]. Travelers passing through 'Ele'ele during the scheduled work dates should allow extra time for their commute. The Department of Public Works has planned the repairs to minimize disruption, though some impact is expected due to the use of heavy machinery. The community’s cooperation is appreciated as the necessary work is carried out.
