A fatal collision in Chicago's West Lawn neighborhood has left one man deceased and a woman in critical condition, igniting another examination into the city's traffic safety measures. The incident, which occurred on Sunday night in the 7100 block of South Pulaski Road, involved two sedans that collided, leading to the tragic aftermath. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the accident took place at approximately 8:35 p.m. when a black sedan and a silver sedan, both traveling north, made contact as the silver vehicle attempted a merge.
The clash sent the black sedan careening into a light pole, forcefully ejecting the male driver, who subsequently succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A female passenger, also ejected from the black sedan, was transported to Advocate Christ Hospital in a state of dire urgency, as reported by ABC7 Chicago.
