Fayetteville residents can once again gather their unwanted documents and outdated electronics because the Shred & Recycle Day is making a comeback at the City Center Park on April 26. According to the City of Fayetteville's announcement, the event, free and open to the public, will run from 9 a.m. to noon, offering an opportunity to safely dispose of sensitive papers and recycle various electronics responsibly.
Preparation for the event is straightforward, participants should enter City Center Park using Stonewall Avenue West, set between the Fayetteville City Cemetery and City Hall, once inside the park, vehicles will be guided to the appropriate stations for shredding and electronics drop-off, residents should be aware that they can bring up to 10 small boxes or three small bags of documents ready for shredding, but binders, paperclips, CDs, and cardboard are prohibited from this process.
The recycling side of the event also has its guidelines, with a clear reminder that CRT monitors and televisions will not be accepted.
