
Residents of Boulder City experienced a jarring interruption last evening as a fire broke out in the vicinity of Wyoming and Avenues C and D. The Boulder City Police Department took to social media to urge the public to steer clear of the area, emphasizing the urgency for space as the Boulder City Fire Department tackled the blaze.
Initially reported at an unspecified time before the social media updates, the situation seemed to escalate quickly, prompting an immediate response from local emergency services. The ordeal left one person hospitalized with smoke inhalation and minor burns according to a later update by the Boulder City Police Department. The affected individual was transported to the hospital while the area continued to be cordoned off.
Despite the seriousness of the situation, the fire was reported to be under control by 8:40 PM. The collaborative efforts of the Boulder City Fire Department and special assistance from the Henderson Fire Department contributed to managing the situation more efficiently, as the helpers, were appreciated in a statement by the Boulder City Police Department.
By 9:35 PM, the fire was under control, and residents were given the all-clear. The Boulder City Police Department thanked both fire departments for their quick response and noted that firefighters would stay on the scene for another 90 minutes. They advised locals to avoid the area while post-fire operations and investigations took place.
