
The City of Folsom is hosting its second annual Earth Day celebration on April 26, and is seeking volunteers. The event will feature hands-on activities and exhibits focused on environmental education and sustainability, according to the City of Folsom.
The day will begin with volunteer activities from 8 to 11 a.m. Participants can join in creek and trail cleanups, tree care with mulching, and fire fuel removal. There will also be a beautification project at the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary, which is open to individuals 18 and older, as reported by the City of Folsom.
The city is offering 400 volunteer spots for Earth Day, encouraging people to register on their official website. After the morning volunteer work, attendees can enjoy the Earth Day Festival at Prospector Park (4578 Sparrow Drive) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring free, family-friendly activities and educational booths, as stated by the City of Folsom.
