The streets of Hudson were disrupted when a live-streamed moment of folly led to a firearm flashing across social screens, prompting swift police action. Hudson Police Chief Richard DiPersio announced the arrest of four individuals, an adult female, and three juveniles, after a firearm was brandished during a social media live broadcast. The details of the case were provided by a press release from the Hudson Police Department.

According to the information disclosed, Jessire DaSilva, 38, faces charges for interfering with a police officer/investigation. Among the arrested youths was a 17-year-old charged with multiple firearm offenses, including possession of a firearm without an FID Card and a defaced serial number. The two 14-year-old juveniles have been charged with assault and battery on a police officer and additional varying offenses. This incident unfolded after the police were alerted to the livestream last Thursday.

Subsequent investigation and cooperation between Hudson and Southbridge Police led to the identification of the 17-year-old who displayed the firearm online. The joint effort culminated in a search warrant executed last Friday revealing not only a loaded 9mm Taurus GX4 handgun but also several rounds of ammunition within the room of the accused teen. During the warrant execution, two juveniles reportedly became confrontational, trying to incite a dog to attack the officers, before one juvenile made physical contact with a police officer. DaSilva allegedly moved a juvenile's phone while asked to wait outside, leading to her charge by police.

All four individuals were arrested without further incident and arraigned in the Marlborough District Court, Chief DiPersio stated in the press release that,"I would like to commend the efforts of the members of Hudson and Southbridge police who assisted in this investigation. Their commitment to sound, proactive police work plays an instrumental role in keeping the community safe." While the adult defendant's court proceedings are public, the juvenile cases are closed to protect the identity of the young offenders.
