Four families found themselves without a home, after a fire swept through a Jefferson County apartment complex late Thursday evening. The blaze, which has left these residents of a Littleton community grappling with sudden displacement, damaged two apartment units with fire and impacted two others with smoke and water, as reported by Denver7.
Officials from West Metro Fire Rescue were called to the scene shortly after 8:30 p.m., to confront heavy flames that were seen "rolling up the front of the building," and quickly spreading from one unit to another, eventually reaching into the attic space, as detailed by The Denver Post. Fortunately, there were no injuries as all the residents had safely evacuated the premises before the fire could inflict any harm, on their persons.
As firefighters worked to control and extinguish the flames, support arrived from South Metro Fire Rescue to assist in the efforts, ensuring the safety of surrounding structures and preventing further spread, as reported by KKTV. The combined force of these first responders played a critical role in managing the crisis effectively.
