Franklin's Seaboard Lane faced an unexpected disruption earlier this Tuesday when a gas leak prompted police to shut down the road in both directions. The Franklin Police Department first reported the incident around 10 a.m., advising motorists to find alternate routes as they responded to the situation. According to WSMV, the closure affected Seaboard Lane, a busy thoroughfare in the area.
The leak occurred near 113 Seaboard Lane, a location surrounded by multiple businesses in the Dover Centre at Cool Springs, the nexus of Franklin commerce. Crews worked swiftly to contain the leak, and by approximately 11:30 a.m., authorities were able to reopen the road. "We will advise when the road is open," FPD had stated earlier in the day, a promise they fulfilled swiftly, reflecting their commitment to public safety and the fluidity of commerce. In a statement obtained by WKRN, the police provided little information about the cause of the leak or the type of gas involved.
