Lewisville residents looking for help with home repairs and neighborhood beautification have many opportunities to learn about funding through free workshops offered by Lewisville Neighborhood Services. On April 1, at 6:30 p.m., a workshop will be held at Castle Hills Community Center at 2501 Queen Margaret Drive.

During this workshop, attendees can discover information about the various grant programs the City of Lewisville offers, such as the Property Enhancement Program, Love Your Block, and the Neighborhood Enhancement Program. The details cover grant processes, application instructions, and other resources available at a county level. According to the city's announcement, the Property Enhancement Program offers eligible residents a financial grant-rebate for exterior home repair, with potential approvals for a 50 percent matching grant-rebate, up to a specified maximum dollar amount.

The Love Your Block initiative also provides a $500 reimbursable mini-grant to foster community connection through neighborhood parties or shared space beautification projects. Unlike other programs, Love Your Block accepts applications year-round, offering residents flexibility to engage in community building when it strikes them.

The Neighborhood Enhancement Program uses matching grants up to $12,500 for neighborhoods aiming to enhance their local shared spaces. The city's press release stated that these funds can be used for community-driven projects, from creating entryway features to improving parks, establishing Neighborhood Emergency Response Teams, and even signage enhancements. The program underscores the city's commitment to fostering "Diverse and Thriving Neighborhoods," a core objective of the Lewisville 2025 vision plan.

For Lewisville homeowners who can't make the April 1st workshop, additional sessions are slated every month throughout 2025. These workshops, scheduled for Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m., will be accessible at various locations, including the Lewisville Grand Theater, Thrive, the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, and the Lewisville Public Library.
