
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Aaron Rolen and Jason E. Spencer to the Sulphur River Basin Authority Board of Directors. Their terms will expire on February 1, 2029, pending Senate confirmation. The board is responsible for managing the construction, maintenance, and operation of infrastructure for the Sulphur River and its tributaries, according to the Office of the Texas Governor.
Rolen, from Bogata, is an attorney and director of the Basset Firm. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Dakota Wesleyan University and a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Arkansas Bar Association. Spencer, from Avinger, is a former United States Navy Commander and serves as the president and executive director of the Avinger Economic Development Corporation, as reported by the Office of the Texas Governor.
