
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Steve Ehrig and Jennifer Storm to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority Board of Directors. They will serve terms ending on February 1, 2029, overseeing water resources in a 10-county district. The appointments are pending Senate confirmation, according to the Office of the Texas Governor.
Steve Ehrig, a returning board member, is from Gonzales and has a background in agriculture. He is involved in Ehrig Brothers Ag, E-BARR Feeds, and E Brothers Ranches. Ehrig is also active in organizations such as the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Gonzales Livestock Show Association, and the Texas Farm Bureau. His experience in agriculture and connections within Texas's agricultural communities will contribute to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority, as reported by the Office of the Texas Governor.
Jennifer Storm of Buda has been appointed to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority board. She is the CEO of the Buda Economic Development Corporation and serves on the boards of the Hays Caldwell Economic Development Partnership and the Greater Buda Chamber of Commerce. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. Her appointment, along with Ehrig’s, aligns with Governor Abbott’s goal of having expertise in agriculture and economics on the board. As Texas faces water scarcity challenges, the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority continues its work while awaiting Senate confirmation, as stated by the Office of the Texas Governor.
