On Wednesday, the Marysville Police Department responded to a report of an active threat at Marysville Charter Academy of the Arts. A call was made at 10:42 a.m. by a male claiming to be on the premises with a firearm and explosives, as reported by the Marysville Police Department.

Law enforcement swiftly responded to ensure safety, establishing a secure perimeter as a search operation commenced. The Marysville Police Department, with assistance from other agencies, found no evidence of a threat. As a precaution, students and faculty were held until the area was declared safe and then released.
