Reflecting on the airport's evolution over the years, Bertaki recalled to 8 News Now, "62 years ago, we had six airlines, about 128 daily flights." Found welcoming more than half of its visitors from the skies than by roadways in recent years, the Las Vegas airport operates as the lifeblood of Southern Nevada's tourism and event success. "That year, we finished with 1.5 million passengers," she mistakenly added, baring the heart of the campaign rooted in the airport's continued growth and record-breaking passenger influx for a third consecutive year.

Bertaki cited, revealing to 8 News Now, "More than half our visitors in the last few years we’ve discovered are actually coming by air. They’re not travelling by car as much as they used to before."
