Earlier today, a chase ensued when Constable Deputies from Harris County Precinct 4 attempted to intervene in an illegal car meetup on Huffmeister Road. The event, involving vehicles performing burnouts, led to a failed routine traffic stop and a subsequent search for a white Dodge Charger.
The driver, whose identity has not been released, reportedly ignored deputies' attempts to stop the vehicle, leading to a pursuit that reached speeds over 100 miles per hour. The chase ended when deputies lost track of the vehicle, as stated in a social media post from Precinct 4. Later, Deputy Montez located and recovered the suspect vehicle, which has been taken for further investigation.
Constable Mark Herman's office is reaching out to the public, encouraging them to engage with local law enforcement via their "C4 NOW" mobile app, which provides real-time information on crime, safety, and road conditions.
