An early morning auto theft in Wimauma was quickly resolved when Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies, with help from their Aviation Section, apprehended two individuals on Friday last week. The pursuit began at 1:00 a.m. and ended when the suspects abandoned the stolen vehicle on Sunburst Lake Street.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the suspects attempted to walk away but were pursued by deputies on foot. Both individuals were detained after a brief chase.
The arrested suspects now face charges for the theft.
