
Following a frightening episode at Pali Lookout, Honolulu Police have arrested Gerhardt Konig after he allegedly tried to kill his wife during a visit to the scenic spot. According to the Honolulu Police Department, Konig attempted to push his wife off a hiking trail and assaulted her with a rock, leaving her critically injured. She was later transported to a hospital for emergency treatment.
The harrowing event unfolded this morning in the Pali Lookout area, prompting police to issue a public appeal for assistance in capturing Konig. Wearing a light gray shirt and blue shorts with a black bag last, the 46-year-old man was described by the HPD as a key suspect in the attempted murder. Officers, on finding him near Pali Highway, arrested him after a brief foot pursuit, and charges are now pending.
As the story developed, law enforcement called on anyone with information to immediately dial 911 or reach out to Crime Stoppers Honolulu. Gerhardt Konig, standing at 5'9" and weighing 160 lbs., with brown hair and green eyes, was subsequently located and apprehended by HPD officers.
