Houston law enforcement has escalated their manhunt for Cesar Rosales, who stands charged with capital murder in connection to a double homicide occurring in January 2022. Rosales, aged 21, remains at large despite recent efforts to apprehend him. The ongoing investigation into the fatal shooting that claimed the lives of Adrian Martinez and Paulina Vega-Yanez at 12302 Coulson Street has identified Rosales as a key suspect, according to an official statement made by the Houston Police Department (HPD).

Details of the crime scene depict a scenario where Martinez was found in a red Chevrolet pickup truck, having been shot multiple times. Vega-Yanez was discovered later, near a red sedan, with at least one gunshot wound. The HPD has since pieced together evidence suggesting Vega-Yanez's involvement in the Coulson Street shooting before her death. Initial descriptions of the suspects included three Hispanic males, and Rosales, known by the alias "Chavez," was later identified and charged for his involvement in the incident. The two other unidentified suspects are still at large.

In their quest to apprehend Rosales, the HPD has urged the public to offer any information on his whereabouts or on the identities of the wanted suspects. "Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cesar "Chavez" Rosales or in this case or on the identities of the wanted suspects is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division," states the HPD news release. The charges against Rosales were filed in the 180th State District Court. Lieutenant J. Horn, along with Detectives J. Escobar, H. Martinez, and S. Chettry of the HPD Homicide Division, are leading the investigation. As the search intensifies, the public is reminded that any information, no matter how small, could be pivotal in efforts to capture Rosales and his accomplices and provide some semblance of closure to the families affected by this vicious act of violence.
