Tragedy struck in a quiet Houston neighborhood when an elderly woman lost her life in a vicious dog attack. The woman, 65, whose name is yet to be disclosed pending formal identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, was found deceased at her home located at 8009 Wayside Village Way.

According to Detectives C. Davidson and R. Bounds from HPD's Homicide Division, patrol officers were dispatched after a 911 call was made by the homeowner, complaining about a deceased person at the residence. Upon arrival, officers collaborated with the Houston Fire Department paramedics, where they discovered that the woman had been mauled by three dogs. These animals had managed, to break through a fence that the woman shared with the dog owner's backyard.

Subsequently, Harris County Animal Control took custody of the canines involved.
