
Authorities in Houston are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 45-year-old Jaroi Coleman, who was shot and killed. The Houston Police Department (HPD) has confirmed that their investigation is focused on an incident that occurred around 2 p.m. last Saturday in the 3800 block of Corto Street. Officers responding to reports of a shooting near the intersection with Sayers Street found Coleman unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.
As per official reports, the Houston Fire Department paramedics were quickly to arrive on the scene, where they pronounced Coleman deceased. Witnesses have indicated that a dark-colored sedan was seen leaving the area rapidly after the sound of a gunshot was heard. However, at this point in the investigation, no suspect description has been made available to the public.
HPD's Homicide Division, represented by H. Martinez and S. Chettry, is spearheading the ongoing inquiry. Authorities are requesting anyone with information related to the case to come forward.
