
Houston authorities launched an investigation into skeletal remains discovered at 5101 Tidwell Road on Sunday. The discovery, made around 12:20 a.m. inside an SUV on a vacant lot. The remains were found locked in the passenger side of the vehicle, with no overt signs of trauma initially evident.
According to the City of Houston, detectives K. Hale and A. Ledford of HPD's Homicide Division are looking into the matter, after patrol officers were tipped off by a passerby regarding the deceased.
The identity, gender, and cause of death are pending, with details remaining unclear until forensic analysis is completed. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is responsible for determining the cause and manner of death, and an autopsy is awaited.
