
Authorities in Houston are seeking information from the public regarding three individuals wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that took place on the night of February 3. The crime took place at 4500 Pershing Street, where 33-year-old Adam Broomfield was found with a gunshot wound. According to the Houston Police Department (HPD), Broomfield was later pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital.
The first person of interest identified by police is 19-year-old Demetrius Jackson, along with an unnamed 15-year-old male. Detectives are also looking for a black male, estimated to be in his late teens or 20s. Photos of Jackson and the unidentified individual has been released in conjunction with a news statement. Witnesses reported seeing the suspects flee in a silver Dodge Ram pickup with Minnesota plates LBD-112.
A fourth individual, initially considered a person of interest, is no longer sought by authorities, as HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen, who are leading the investigation, have called on the public for assistance in a statement obtained by the City of Houston.
HPD is urging anyone with information about Jackson, the juvenile, or the third unidentified person of interest to come forward. They can contact the HPD Homicide Division directly or provide anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers.
