
A tragic sequence of events in Indiana Borough, Pennsylvania, has reached its somber conclusion with the death of Loretta Reeger, 68, nearly two weeks after she and her husband, John, were struck by a box truck at a local intersection. CBS News Pittsburgh reported the incident took place on the morning of March 11 at the intersection of Philadelphia Street and North 9th Street.
According to the Indiana Borough Police, the couple was crossing the street when the vehicle hit them. John Reeger was declared dead at the Indiana Regional Medical Center shortly after the crash. His wife, Loretta, was taken to Conemaugh Memorial Hospital with injuries. WPXI reported that Loretta succumbed to her injuries over the weekend.
Investigations into the deadly crash are ongoing, with both Pennsylvania State Police and local law enforcement officials collaborating on the case.
