
In Willoughby Hills, a suburb of Cleveland, an investigation is underway following the deaths of a married couple found in their home on Orchard Drive. Cleveland19 reported that the Willoughby Hills Police Department (WHPD) responded to the residence after a family friend expressed concern about communication from the occupants.
Arriving just after 10 a.m. yesterday, officers did a welfare check at the 2800 block of Orchard Drive. According to WKYC, the deceased was found in an upstairs bedroom. The couple, both aged 64, was discovered by police. The names of the individuals have been withheld while their family members await notification.
The presence of a firearm at the scene has led authorities to categorize the incident as "suspicious deaths." However, the WHPD stated that they believe there is no current threat to public safety, according to Cleveland19 News, suggesting that this incident may be isolated. Police also mentioned that further information would be shared once available.
Anybody with knowledge regarding this case has been urged to come forward. Captain Greg Leonbruno with the Willoughby Hills Detective Bureau is heading the investigation and can be contacted at the police department at 440-942-9148.
