Officers from District 6 are currently investigating a stabbing incident that took place at North Broadway & Riverview Boulevard in Baden at around 11 a.m. on Monday. The victim, a 31-year-old man, later presented himself at a St. Louis County hospital with a stab wound, as initially reported by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's official website.

According to the SLMPD's statement, it was shortly before 3:30 p.m. when the call came through from the hospital. The injured man, however, refused to show officers his injury, or relay his account of the incident. The details have since begun to coalesce, authorities learned that the stabbing was allegedly the result of a dispute over pennies, involving an altercation with an unidentified individual in Baden.

Local law enforcement has confirmed that the man was transported to the hospital by a family member and is currently listed in stable condition. The investigation into the stabbing is active and ongoing, as detectives piece together the circumstances that led up to the confrontation.
