The graphic body camera videos, which have been published online with a viewer discretion warning, depict the confrontation between officers and Tiffany Leigh, a local resident. Leigh had been involved in an argument with her husband, who subsequently called 911 to alert authorities that she was armed.
According to the JSO's Facebook release, officers responded to the domestic dispute and encountered Leigh, who, upon rising from a bench, walked towards them with her gun. After Leigh ignored commands to drop her weapon and fired several shots, officers returned gunfire, striking her.
