
A juvenile has been taken into custody in connection with a robbery that occurred in Northeast Washington, DC. The incident took place on the 100 block of Q Street, Northeast on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
At around 4:52 p.m., Fifth District officers were dispatched following reports of an assault and robbery. The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was approached, assaulted by the suspects and subsequently robbed. Following the attack they were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their non-life-threatening injuries, as stated by the Metropolitan Police Department.
As reported by Metropolitan Police Department's official release, detectives investigated the case and arrested a 12-year-old boy from Northwest, DC. He was charged with robbery on Thursday, March 20. The juvenile's identity has not been released due to his age.
The case is still active and further details are being sought by authorities.
