The individual, last seen yesterday at 8:17 a.m., was found safe thanks to the collective efforts of local law enforcement. Gaston County Sheriff's Office shared the successful outcome on their social media channels, highlighting the synergy between the different departments.
According to Sheriff Chad Hawkins, in a statement released, the significantly contaminated track from foot traffic and the time elapsed since the person was last spotted presented a challenge. However, K9 Dunkin and his handler, Deputy Linkous, aided by a drone operator from the Ranlo Police Department, rose to the occasion, successfully tracking down and ensuring the safety of the missing person—a testament to their training and dedication.
Ranlo PD Chief Lunsford praised the collaborative effort, describing K9 Dunkin as "a heck of a K9" and recognizing the value of partnership among Gaston County's law enforcement personnel, according to the Gaston County Sheriff's Office.
