A 14-year-old boy was found shot and killed near a retention pond in a west Harris County neighborhood on Thursday night. Deputies and Cy-Fair ISD police responded to reports of a shooting around 9 p.m. on High Stone Lane in Katy and later found the victim at the corner of Sandy Bay and Stockfield Lane. The investigation is ongoing, according to Click2Houston.
After an argument with a group of young men aged 15 to 17, a 14-year-old boy was shot and killed when one person from the group pulled out a gun and fired before fleeing. No arrests have been made, and the victim’s identity has not been released. Authorities confirmed he was from the local area, and some of his family members were present when officers arrived, as stated by Click2Houston.
FOX26 Houston reports that a 14-year-old was killed in an incident involving two groups of teenagers. Detective Mario Quintenilla stated that "it appears two groups of teen juveniles were involved." The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating as the community awaits further details.
