As we spring into warmer days, Lake Pueblo State Park's North Shore Marina will remain a go-to spot for boaters. Colorado Parks & Wildlife and The O'Neil Group have signed off on a short-term extension to keep the marina's doors open through October 31, 2025, quashing previous worries that renters must vacate by April Fool's. In a statement detailed by Colorado Parks & Wildlife, Lake Pueblo State Park Manager Joe Stadterman said, "We're looking forward to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all who visit Lake Pueblo State Park. We've been listening to concerns from the public and appreciate the feedback we've received."
According to Colorado Parks & Wildlife, both sides will quickly work together on a longer-term solution now that immediate closure concerns have been dodged. Kevin O'Neil, owner of The O'Neil Group, echoed this sentiment: "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue our collaboration with Lake Pueblo State Park for another summer and fall boating season."
