Starting on Sunday and continuing through mid-week, a ridge will bring rising temperatures, with Las Vegas having a 50% chance of reaching 90 degrees by Wednesday and Death Valley possibly nearing 100. High clouds may affect temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday. Later in the week, a Pacific shortwave could increase cloud cover, introduce slight chances of precipitation, and lower temperatures. "Gusty southwesterly winds Thursday ahead of the associated cold front, and northwesterly winds Friday behind the front" are expected as the weather pattern shifts. This period will see "the warmest temperatures of the year" before cooling later in the week, as stated by the National Weather Service.

Flights in and out of Harry Reid International Airport can expect light winds and minimal weather disturbances. Clouds will remain mostly above 15,000 feet, with occasional lower bases around 10,000 feet. Conditions should remain stable across southern Nevada, northwest Arizona, and southeast California. The National Weather Service advises spotters "to report any significant weather or impacts according to standard operating procedures."
