
Following rigorous investigative efforts, the LVMPD has announced the arrest of 28-year-old Quentin Ledet in connection to a shooting that left a man dead and a woman injured. Ledet was taken into custody by the Criminal Apprehension Team last Wednesday, according to a recent update provided by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. He faces charges of Open Murder and Attempt Murder and is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center.
The Criminal Apprehension Team, a collaborative task force that includes members from the FBI, LVMPD, as well as Henderson and North Las Vegas Police Departments, has been instrumental in apprehending the suspect. Operating within the LVMPD’s Major Violators Bureau, this multi-jurisdictional team emphasizes the close-knit coordination between federal and local law enforcement in addressing violent crimes.
The incident that led to these charges occurred in the early hours of September 3, 2024. LVMPD Communications was alerted to a shooting near a business in the 500 block of East Sahara Avenue at approximately 1:39 a.m. Upon their arrival, officers found a male and female victim with gunshot wounds. Medical personnel pronounced the male victim dead at the scene and rushed the female to Sunrise Hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
The LVMPD Homicide Section, immediately responding to the scene, discovered that the victims were attacked while seated in a vehicle. An assailant had approached the passenger side and fired several shots into the vehicle, striking both occupants. The identity of the deceased, alongside the official cause and manner of death, is set to be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office in due course.
