
League City will hold a special election on May 3, to fill the vacant City Council Position No. 5 seat after the departure of Justin Hicks. The elected candidate will serve until November 2028. The filing deadline for candidates was on Monday at 5 p.m., and the withdrawal deadline is on Saturday, according to the League City.
The candidates listed on the ballot for the upcoming election in League City are Timothy Brown, Erin Avalos, Scott Higginbotham, Kyrsten Garcia, Tim Pelletier, Charlie Keeler, and Lisa Welty. Early voting will take place from April 22 to April 29, as reported by the League City.
League City residents in Harris County must vote at Galveston County polling places for this election. Early voting will be held at the Education Support Center, The Crossings, and League City Annex from April 22-25 (8 AM - 5 PM) and April 28-29 (7 AM - 7 PM). On Election Day, May 3, these locations will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM. Voters can find polling place information at GalvestonVotes.org.
