Last night, the Long Beach Police Department responded to a shooting incident that occurred in the early morning hours on the 3700 block of Anaheim Street. The LBPD Blotter said the call came in at approximately 4:24 a.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they found evidence of a shooting, though no victims or suspects were immediately located at the location.
Information from the LBPD revealed that after the officers' arrival, they were notified of a female adult who had self-transported to a local hospital. The victim was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the upper body. The investigation into what led to the shooting, as well as who may be responsible, is currently ongoing.
