
Brooklyn Park witnessed a brazen daylight robbery on March 3, as a man armed with a machete-style knife targeted the Lion's Den, a commercial establishment located at 5714 Ritchie Highway. According to the Anne Arundel County police press release, the incident occurred at approximately 11 a.m., when the suspect made his move after spending several minutes inside the store.
Upon confronting the store personnel, the perpetrator commanded the staff to hand over the currency from the register. After acquiring an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot. The suspect's distinctive attire was a gray shirt layered under a black hooded sweatshirt, black track-style pants with white stripes, dark shoes, and an eye-catching orange/blue knit-style toboggan hat, as detailed in the police report.
Detectives from the Regional Crimes Unit are urging the community to come forward with any information that could aid in capturing the suspect.
