Chaos erupted at the Casa Del Pueblo Meat Market on Treaschwig Road yesterday when a parking dispute turned violent. A suspect, now identified as John Brown, reportedly attacked a person's car with a hammer after first striking the vehicle's window with his fist, according to officials from Constable Mark Herman's Office.
Deputies were called to the scene following reports of the incident. The victim, who was in the process of parking, told authorities that the suspect's first blow made to his driver side window sent shards of glass flying into his eye. From there, the situation escalated when Brown threw a hammer at the same window, subsequently injuring the complainant's arm, "causing pain and visible injury," as mentioned in a Facebook update from Precinct 4.
The deputies managed to locate John Brown close to the meat market. Upon his apprehension, it was uncovered that this wasn't his first encounter with law enforcement; he had been out on bond for a previous altercation where he assaulted a cashier, and damaged her vehicle in a similar manner.
"John Brown was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond was set at $30,000.00 out of the 488th District Court," Constable Mark Herman detailed in the Facebook post from Precinct 4.
