In a recent domestic disturbance turned robbery in Queens, the NYPD 102nd Precinct reports an escalation to violence as a group of five unidentified individuals allegedly forced entry into a residence, assaulting and binding two victims before ransacking the property for valuables. The incident, taking place near the junction of Mayfair Rd and 116 St., has sparked a manhunt for the perpetrators involved. The NYPD Crimestoppers took to social media to provide a brief account of the events and to encourage public assistance in bringing the individuals to justice.
According to the NYPD Crimestoppers' Facebook post, the suspects are said to have pushed one female victim to the ground and restrained both her and a second victim with tape, proceeding to remove various items from the location. The nature of the stolen property has not been disclosed, nor has information regarding the potential identification of the assailants been provided at this time. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible.
Members of the public with any knowledge pertinent to the case are urged to come forward. "Anyone with information is asked to call 800-577-8477," the NYPD Crimestoppers implored. The advertised reward for such information could be as high as $3,500.
