Authorities are on the lookout for a man after an 86-year-old woman was shoved and injured inside a supermarket on Manhattan's Upper East Side; the incident occurred just before 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. According to ABC7NY, the woman was pushed from behind, causing her to fall and sustain multiple injuries, including broken teeth, and damage to her back and eye.
The attack, described by authorities as seemingly unprovoked took place as the victim was approaching the supermarket exit, the assailant immediately fled the scene by foot heading south on Third Avenue, this information comes from The New York Post. The incident led to the victim's hospitalization at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she is said to be in stable condition.
Along with the distressing details, the NYPD has released surveillance footage showing a man they suspect of the attack, wearing a gray and burgundy jacket, dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and gray shoes.
