The Marysville Police Department reported a law enforcement presence near Marysville High School and stated there was no active threat. Parents and guardians were asked to pick up children at Circle Park, as mentioned by the Marysville Police Department.
Following a lockdown at the high school, the police department expressed appreciation to parents for their cooperation during the incident and acknowledged the support of multiple local agencies, including the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department, Yuba City Police Department, and NET-5, for their response and teamwork, as stated by the Marysville Police Department.
According to the Marysville Police Department on their Facebook page, a multi-agency response involving the California Highway Patrol, Sutter County probation, and the Sutter County District Attorney’s Office led to a "positive resolution." Authorities confirmed that all students on campus were safe, and investigations are ongoing.
