Early yesterday morning, a pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Orchi Road in northeast Memphis, as confirmed by the Memphis Police Department (MPD). The incident claimed the life of Harold Moore, who was critically injured and later pronounced dead at Regional One Health, according to FOX13 Memphis.
MPD reports indicate that the suspect vehicle, a silver metallic Chrysler 300, incurred significant damage on the front passenger side, along with a bumper that was dragging on the ground. The vehicle was last observed heading westbound on Orchi Road toward North Highland. As of now, no arrests have been made, but the search for the individual responsible continues.
The authorities have appealed to the public for assistance. Anyone with information about the driver or the whereabouts of the damaged Chrysler is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers. "MPD requests anyone with information about the incident regarding the driver or owner of the vehicle to call Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH," as reported by Action News 5.
