
The Mesquite Police Department took to social media to express gratitude towards the Mesquite Elks Lodge #2404 and the Mesquite Elks Auxiliary Club #2404 for their generosity at the annual dinner event dedicated to honoring city staff and services. The commendable gesture was documented in a Facebook post celebrating the contributions and acknowledging these donations' pivotal role in bolstering the city's operations.
During the event, not only were valuable funds distributed across various city departments, but personal recognitions were also highlighted. The Elks Lodge named Officer Ronnie Steed their "Police Officer of the Year" and Captain David David as "Firefighter of the Year." Engaged and dedicated community members George and Bennye Rice, standing out in their service, were awarded the title "Citizens of the Year."
