The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking help from the public to locate suspects involved in an armed carjacking in the Navy Yard area on Tuesday last week.
Accotding to the Metropolitan Police Department, the first incident occurred at around 3:29 p.m. on the 400 block of K Street, Southeast, when the suspects demanded car keys from a victim but fled when the victim tried to seek help. The second victim was approached at the intersection of 3rd Street and K Street, Southeast, where one suspect showed a handgun and stole the victim's car keys. The suspects drove away in the victim's vehicle.
Surveillance footage of the suspects has been released by the Metropolitan Police Department. Anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information is encouraged to contact the authorities at (202) 727-9099 or text the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The police are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the suspects' arrest and conviction.
