A search at the student's home conducted early the following morning uncovered a black airsoft replica gun, the same one that appeared in the post. No specific threats to the school were made, but law enforcement, taking no chances, decided that a police presence at the school would be maintained for a time. The Mill Valley Police said, "We would like to continue to encourage parents to have open conversations with their children about concerning matters they see or hear online or amongst their friend groups."
