St. Patrick's Day weekend in Milwaukee just got more festive and convenient. Thanks to Miller Lite, Milwaukee County Transit System buses will offer free rides starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, until the end of service. This tradition, in partnership with Molson Coors, ensures a safe ride for those celebrating. "we want our Milwaukee community to feel confident knowing that free rides will be available on Saturday evening," said Alison Hanrahan, community affairs manager for Molson Coors.

Started over 30 years ago, the Miller Lite Free Rides program promotes responsible celebrations and has provided over 9 million rides nationwide. Alison Hanrahan highlighted the company's ongoing commitment to the program, which begins in 2025 with St. Patrick's Day Free Rides. Last year, over 2,000 rides were taken in Milwaukee during the St. Patrick's Day festivities, showing the program's importance, as reported by the Milwaukee County Transit System.

For St. Patrick's Day in Milwaukee, it’s not just Miller Lite turning green— Milwaukee County Transit System buses are joining in, offering a sustainable travel option for revelers. The 2025 celebrations are special, marking the 50th anniversary of both Miller Lite and  Milwaukee County Transit System. "Our continued partnership with Miller Lite to give back to the Milwaukee community is a true highlight of our year, and has been since 1988," said Kristina Hoffman, Milwaukee County Transit System's chief customer experience officer. These free rides have become more than just transportation—they’re a community tradition.

The St. Patrick's Day free rides aren't just in Milwaukee—Molson Coors will also offer free transportation on March 17 in the Twin Cities. For Milwaukee residents, details about fare-free bus routes are available on the Milwaukee County Transit System website, so people can plan their safe return home in advance.

For over 200 years, Molson Coors has brought people together with its drinks, including Coors Light, Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy, hard seltzers, and non-alcoholic options. Beyond beverages, the company is committed to community programs like the Free Rides initiative, helping create safer and more connected celebrations.
