Following an urgent call from his family yesterday, 31-year-old Frank Traughber, a Goodlettsville man with a reported history of mental illness, was safely located later that evening. The initial concern was set in motion when Traughber's family had not heard from him since last Tuesday, relayed FOX17. Adding to their alarm was the fact that he had been off his anti-psych medication, casting his mental condition into uncertainty.
An important tool that aided authorities, a FLOCK camera, caught a glimpse of Traughber just after midnight on February 27 on Alta Loma Road in Goodlettsville. This sighting was his last known whereabouts before his eventual discovery, as reported by WSMV. Traughber was believed to have been driving a 2023 silver Ford Escape sporting the Tennessee license plate BSK6469.
The Goodlettsville Police Department, spearheaded by Detective Stephen Hodges, appealed for the community's assistance locating Traughber. His description was widely disseminated: a black male, standing at 5'8", weighing approximately 195 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, as detailed by the Goodlettsville PD, per WKRN.
The relief was palpable when, shortly after 5:15 p.m. yesterday, the police announced they had found Traughber. While the specifics surrounding his disappearance and how he was found remain undisclosed, the community and Traughber's family expressed gratitude for the positive outcome. Detective Stephen Hodges, in the service of the Goodlettsville community, found Traughber, as confirmed by both WSMV and WKRN.
