Community efforts were instrumental in Honolulu following the safe recovery of Elizabeth Rodriguez. Last Saturday, the Honolulu Police Department, along with CrimeStoppers, thanked the public after locating Rodriguez, who was last seen in the Ewa Beach area around 9:00 p.m. Diagnosed with dementia, her safety was a primary concern when she was reported missing.
Elizabeth Rodriguez was last seen on Kapiolani Boulevard around 4:00 p.m. last Friday, after which her whereabouts became unknown. According to earlier reports by Hoodline, the HPD issued a request for assistance in locating the missing woman, urging anyone with information to come forward. Police provided details about her medium build and the casual attire she was believed to be wearing at the time of her disappearance.
According to Hoodline, the Honolulu Police Department emphasized the challenges her family faced due to Rodriguez's medical condition, which made her particularly vulnerable. "The concern for Rodriguez is particularly high due to her medical condition, which could render her more vulnerable," the HPD explained.
CrimeStoppers and the HPD have not released additional information regarding the circumstances of her discovery but have expressed gratitude to those who contributed to the search and recovery.
