The Zephyrhills Police Department has successfully located Makayla Stell, a 15-year-old girl who was reported missing since February 23. An update was posted on their Facebook page, briefly stating, "She has been located. Thank you." Prior to this resolution, the department had sought the public's assistance via social media in hopes of finding the young girl.
The initial request for help from the community detailed Makayla's physical description and the time and location she was last seen. Standing at 5’06” and weighing approximately 130 pounds, Makayla was described as having blonde hair and blue eyes. It was reported that she was last spotted in the vicinity of 15th Ave and 1st St, Zephyrhills at around 4:00 pm. The Zephyrhills Police Department urged anyone with information to directly contact them and provided a phone number to make it easier for individuals to quickly share any details they might have come rapidly across.
The police haven't shared details about Makayla's disappearance or how she was found. While the community is relieved, many questions remain.
